Wallick Communities is pleased to announce that Rita Bishop-Aimar is being promoted to Senior Vice President of Affordable Housing Operations (AHO) as of September 1. She is replacing Amy Albery, who was recently named Wallick's new Chief Operating Officer.
In her new role, Rita will oversee the company's affordable housing operations, comprising more than 170 communities across the Midwest, and join its senior leadership team. She will work with the Affordable Housing Operations team to serve Wallick's residents, providing them with safe and decent homes; ensure all of the company's communities achieve financial and operating objectives; maintain net operating income, cash flow, and occupancy benchmarks; and comply with state, federal and other affordable program regulations.
Rita is currently a Regional Vice President, supervising the management of and resident satisfaction at 101 of Wallick's affordable communities across Ohio and Michigan.
She began her career at Wallick in 1996 as a Regional Supervisor. Since then, Rita has played a key role in numerous projects at the company, including leading a team that created and implemented an enhanced training program for new and current associates and serving on Wallick's policy and procedure task force.
Rita is Wallick Communities' Principal Broker in Kentucky and Michigan. She is a licensed broker in Florida and holds an Ohio real estate sales license. Rita has earned the following accreditations: Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP), Certified Apartment Property Supervisor (CAPS), Assisted Housing Management (AHM), and Accredited Resident Manager (ARM).
Rita has been a great member of our affordable housing operations team for 20-plus years. She has always been a great leader. Her team loves to work for her and she brings out the best in the people around her. It's been a pleasure to watch her grow and I'm so looking forward to seeing Rita now lead the entire AHO team.
