Resident Success Story: He’s Wirth It
Highpoint’s resident, Mr. Wirth, was having difficulty taking care of himself at home due to his lack of mobility and weakness, which had unfortunately already caused several falls. He needed assistance with personal care and walking.
The property manager and service coordinator at Highpoint got a rollator to help Mr. Wirth walk and go to the grocery store, a bath chair to assist with showering, and a homemaker to help around the home.
The Homemaker Program is funded through a grant from the federal U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to support low-income elderly or disabled adults to be more independent while meeting their daily living needs such as household chores and personal care.
Thankfully, Mr. Wirth now has housing stability and can comfortably stay in his home.
