Mt. Orab PD Donates Basketball Equipment to Hyde Park West
When Officer McKenzie noticed the missing backboard at Hyde Park West’s basketball court, he hatched a plan to replace it. He told Chief Hahn, Mt. Orab’s Chief of Police, who then contacted Tammy Chapin, Regional Manager, regarding the vandalized/missing backboard and rim. He explained that Mt. Orab Police Department believes it would be a great opportunity to give back to the community and to do something positive for the Hyde Park West kids.
Days later, men from Mt. Orab Police and the Street Department arrived at Hyde Park West’s basketball court to install the backboard and hoop. Afterward, the officers spent time shooting some hoops with the kids and even brought their grill along to provide hotdogs. Before leaving, the police department donated three basketballs to the community for resident use.
Management has built a strong relationship with the Mt. Orab Police Department; together, they strive to keep Hyde Park West a great place to call home!
Shoutout to Shana Cowdrey, Manager at Hyde Park West, Fair Park, and Forest Glade Apartments, who coordinated with the Mt. Orab Police Department!
