Wallick Celebrates Grand Opening of Oak View, First Project in North Carolina

On Tuesday, October 29, Wallick celebrated the Grand Opening of Oak View, our first project in North Carolina.

As the developer and owner of this new $14 million community, we’re thrilled to contribute to new beginnings and much-needed affordable housing in Siler City and the Triangle area, in collaboration with Partnership Property Management, who serves as the community’s manager.

Amy Albery, CEO, and Jake Gill, Development Manager, shared remarks alongside notable guests, partners, and passionate advocates for affordable housing, including:

  • Mike Fenley, Field Representative for U.S. Senator Thom Tillis
  • Camden Mills, Field Director for Congressman Richard Hudson (NC-09)
  • Divine Earth-Dowd, Legislative Assistant for Office of State Senator Natalie Murdock
  • Hon. Robert Reives, State Representative
  • Hon. Mike Dasher, Chair of Chatham County’s Board of Commissioners
  • Hon. Donald Matthews, Mayor of Siler City
  • Marc Isaacson, Board Member of the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency
  • Stephanie Watkins-Cruz, Director of Housing Policy at the North Carolina Housing Coalition

We also heard a powerful story from Oak View resident Henry Johnson about how the community has transformed his life, allowing him to live in Siler City near his family in his first home.

Thank you to our project partners for their vital support, including: Chatham County, the Town of Siler City, NCHFA, CAHEC, RiverHills Bank, Mc2 Engineering, Southern Energy Management, and TightLines Designs, Inc.
