Corners Crossing was made possible thanks to the vital community partnerships that propelled its development forward.
- The design team includes RDL Architects and Crain Engineering.
- Project partners include Grand Traverse County, the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA), Blair Township, S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, Huntington National Bank, Greystone and Sherman Capital Partners and SGL Acquisitions.
Workforce Housing addresses the needs of middle-income families by offering high-quality housing with market-rate amenities at a more affordable price. In Traverse City, rising housing costs and high rents are significant barriers to retaining local talent.
Corners Crossing, Wallick’s first Workforce Housing community, aims to provide safe, stable housing that is affordable for middle-income residents in Traverse City.
The community will feature 192 one-, two-, and three-bedroom units serving families earning 80-120% AMI. There will be eight three-story walk-up buildings consisting of 24 apartments. Amenities include a fitness center, office and computer center, and dog park and playground.
Apartment homes will include:
- Energy Star-rated appliances
- A patio or balcony
- Luxury vinyl flooring
For Traverse City, Corners Crossing represents the power of community collaboration and a commitment to affordability, ensuring that those who work in the community – including nurses, firefighters, and teachers – can call this place home.
