Parkwood Commons, one of Wallick’s affordable housing developments, is a finalist for the Affordable Housing Finance’s (AHF) Readers’ Choice Awards. The development has the opportunity to win in the categories of Best Preservation and Best Overall Development. This year’s Awards have 36 finalists out of 123 entries. Before Wallick, the development in Peoria, Illinois was at almost 50 years without a major investment and near to closing. Now, the property has a waiting list, revealing the clear need for affordable housing in the area. Parkwood Commons is a 100-unit property consisting of 50 buildings with two- to five-bedroom units.
